Full course description
Much of what we know about the history of human migrations throughout the world has been revealed through archaeology and the study of modern and ancient DNA. In this presentation I will summarize current knowledge about prehistoric human migrations worldwide and then examine human dispersal into the Americas in greater detail. Drawing from my team’s work in the high Andes of Peru, the talk will highlight current approaches for learning about past migrations.
