THIS LECTURE IS ON TUESDAY 11/7
The United Nations has seemed powerless in recent years to prevent new wars in Russia/Ukraine, Sudan, and elsewhere. And human rights violations continue globally, as seen in the aftermath of the Taliban’s takeover in Afghanistan. Can the UN do anything to prevent or stop these atrocities? This talk will discuss how the UN’s mechanisms work, their promises, and their limitations. Bruno Simma Collegiate Professor of Law.
