Professor Niehoff will discuss current trends in book banning and censorship and will explain why these efforts are even more worrisome than those we have seen in the past. Len Niehoff is a professor at the University of Michigan Law School and a practicing First Amendment and appellate litigator with the Honigman firm. He teaches courses in Civil Procedure, Ethics, Evidence, First Amendment, Media Law, Law & Theology, and Shakespeare & the Law. He is the author of more than 100 publications, including the book Free Speech: From Core Values to Current Debates (2022). He has represented media and other clients in dozens of First Amendment cases.
